Born in Chicago, I was named after my father, who authored a book and many articles. My Uncle Carl taught me the art of calligraphy and painting at a very young age. From them I developed my art and writing abilities. I met my wife in grade school, we have three daughters and a grandaughter. After honorable retirement from a 20 year military career, I was an honor graduate of Moraine Valley Community College. We have resided in the suburb of Chicago, Tinley Park the past 30 years. I was security Chief at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and Balmoral Park Race Track in Crete. Prior to complete retirement i assisted the veterinarian in the Tinley Park Animal Hospital for nine years. Some of my hobbies have been Archery, Calligraphy, Heraldry, drawing and painting, model building and music. I became a Sherlockian at age nine when i saw Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce on stage at the Chicago Theater. During the past 30 years I have painted many Sherlockians pictures and built hundreds of models of Canonical items including all of the ships mentioned in the Canon. I authored a few Sherlockians stories and articles.
