Darlene Cypser became an avid follower of Sherlock Holmes when she was in high school in the 1970s in Poughkeepsie, New York. Darlene attended some meetings of the Hudson Valley Sciontists in the 1970s before going off to college. She currently lives in Colorado.
Darlene is a member three scions: the Hounds of the Internet, the Hudson Valley Sciontists, and Dr. Watson’s Neglected Patients. She is currently Chief Surgeon of Dr. Watson’s Neglected Patients.
She has had three articles published by The Baker Street Journal: “Barker, The Hated Rival, ” 1985 (vol. 35 p. 211), “A Capital Mistake: An Apocryphal Rebuttal, ” 1988 (vol. 38 p. 237), and “Adventures in Copyright, ” 2014 (vol. 64, p. 22).
Her first Sherlock Holmes novel, The Crack in the Lens was published in late 2010. It was followed by The Consulting Detective Trilogy Part I: University in 2012 and The Consulting Detective Trilogy Part II: On Stage in 2017.
