Biography
John C. Sherwood is a former gasogene of Watson's Tin Box and has written for every issue of the WTB's annual magazine, Irene's Cabinet. His writings also have appeared in two of The Hounds of the Internet's published collections. His article, The Shadow of the Magician, detailing the relationship between Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini, appeared in the Summer 2002 issue of The Baker Street Journal. In the Autumn 2007 BSJ, his article The Case of the Overlooked Hamlet pinpointed the geographical location and history of long-lost (and considered mythical) Langmere from The 'Gloria Scott.' From 1987 through the present, John created and produced more than 110 interactive weekend mysteries and dinners at The Victorian Villa Inn in Michigan, and on behalf of Watson's Tin Box in Maryland, portraying Sherlock Holmes. He continues to perform a one-man version of A Scandal in Bohemia and, as official scheduler, has arranged for Mr. Holmes to make hundreds of personal appearances in North America and the United Kingdom. John also edited and has distributed The Pocket Sherlock, an extensive yet pocket-sized guide to the Canon. He is the official retroactive infiltrator of The James Phillimore Society.
