Beginning in 1968, the study of the lives of Mr. Sherlock Holmes and John H. Watson, M.D., has been my consuming passion. I've published numerous articles on Sherlockiana (see links below), a book called "The Life and Times of Mr. Sherlock Holmes, John H. Watson, M.D., Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Other Notable Personages," also linked below, and co-authored the revised edition of "'The Date Being--?': A Compendium of Sherlockian Chronologies." In 1998, Gasogene Books published "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes," edited and annotated by me to update the monumental work of "The Annotated Sherlock Holmes" edited by William S. Baring-Gould since its publication in 1967. I was fortunate to receive the "Special Sherlock Award" from "Sherlock Holmes Detective Magazine" for the best Sherlockian work of 1998. "The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes," was published in December 1999, "A Study in Scarlet," was published in January 2001, and "Hound of the Baskervilles" was published in late 2001. Also in 1999, I was deeply honored to be invested as a member of the Baker Street Irregulars, under the title "The Abbey Grange."
